7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”
Our attitude when we give is more important than the amount we give. We don't have to be embarrassed if we can give only a small gift. God is concerned about how we give from the resources we have.
(People on the receiving end need to be sensitive when they accept a gift...I was once told by a friend who was collecting donations for a family member to go on a missions trip...."thanks for your small gift".)
